How to update CyberLink Media Suite to the latest software update
After the initial software installation from the device inluded DVD or the downloaded CD Image, in order to make sure the software suite works properly on the latest Windows version, it is necessary to manual update your CyberLink Media Suite to the latest software update.
Note: BRXL-PUS6U3 and DVSM-PUV8U3 have different softwares included in the CyberLink Media suite.
1. When first time executing the CyberLink Media Suite, register your product on the product registration pop-up. Your email is needed for the CyberLink account password setup and also logon to the CyberLink update downloading page.
Registration complete.
2. Check your email for the Password setup email send by CyberLink. Click “Set Up My Password”. Which will open a browser window to the CyberLink website.
3. From the CyberLink password setup page enter your desired new password and click “Change Password”.
4. From the CyberLink Media Suite, click OK on the software update notice, or click the arrow icon from the upper right to open the software update page.
5. The software update page should show PowerDVD and Power2Go both have updates available. Click on the Update download icon for PowerDVD.
Note: BRXL-PUS6U3 and DVSM-PUV8U3 includes different softwares included in the CyberLink Media suite. DVSM-PUV8U3 will only have the Power2Go software included.
6. This will open a web browser window to the CyberLink PowerDVD Update downloading page. Click the “Download Free Update” link.
7. If you have not signed-in to the CyberLink website already, sign-in using the account and password you just registered during Step1-3.
8. File download automatically starts after the website sign-in.
Click on the installation file after download completed.
9. Installation process starts.
10. It is required to uninstall the old version first. Click OK.
11. Click Next.
12. Read and accept the license agreement.
13. Keep your PowerDVD settings if desired.
14. Installation in progress.
15. PowerDVD update installation complete.
16. Back to the CyberLink software update page. Click on the Update download icon for Power2Go.
17. From the CyberLink Power2Go Update download page, click the “Download Free Update” link.
18. File download will start automatically if you still have the website signed in.
Click on the installation file after download completed.
19. Installation process starts.
20. Read and accept the license agreement.
21. Power2Go update installation complete.
22. Now your CyberLink Media Suite is up to date.
