SecureLockWare™ uses the powerful AES encryption algorithm for securing data, the same encryption standard used by the US Government. - Fully Supported on all Buffalo Direct Attached Storage Products
SecureLockWare™ is device-independent and will work with your current Buffalo direct attached storage devices. No hardware update is required.
What options does it offer?
SecureLockWare™ offers two security options:
Drive encryption: You can encrypt your entire storage media with SecureLockWare™. All data on the device is secured and impossible to access, without inputting the password you set during the encryption process.
File/Folder encryption: You can also encrypt individual files or folders. The files or folders are then secured and impossible to access without inputting the password. Various settings are available within SecureLockWare™ including encryption strength and default file destination.

All storage media encrypted by Secure Lock Ware requires a password to access its contents. It is virtually impossible to analyze and extract any useable data from an AES encrypted data stream, so your data is secure.

What products does it work with?
Tech support is only available for this product when it is used with a Buffalo storage product. SecureLockWare™ is not verified for use with other devices, and may cause problems.
